  • What is the pet policy?

    Finding a pet friendly apartment can be tough. Here at Hunting Lodge apartments, we certainly understand how important it is to have our companions by our side. That's why we take pride in being a pet friendly apartment community.

    Dog Policy:
    One (1) dog or two (2) dogs weighing a combined weight of 60 lbs. or less are allowed per apartment, in first-floor apartments only. Breed restrictions include, but are not limited to: Akita, American Bulldog, American Pit Bull Terrier, Chow, Doberman Pinscher, German Shepard, Mastiff, American Staffordshire Terrier, Bull Terrier, Staffordshire Bull Terrier, English Bulldog, Presa Canario (Canary Dog), Rottweiler, St. Bernard, Dalmatian or any mix of these breeds.

    Cat Policy:
    Up to two (2) cats are allowed per apartment. Alternatively, one (1) dog and one (1) cat are allowed per apartment, for a total of two (2) pets.

    Pet Policy Per Apartment:
    No more than two (2) pets, or a maximum weight of 60 lbs. total, are allowed per apartment. This could include one (1) dog up to 60 lbs. or two (2) small dogs up to 60 lbs., or one (1) cat and one (1) dog up to 60 lbs.

    Pets Allowed without Deposit:
    Small birds, turtles, hamsters, guinea pigs and fish aquariums that are five (5) gallons or less, do not require an additional deposit.

    Note: Deposits are required on large birds including but not limited to: Parrots, Cockatiels, Sun Conures, or other birds often let out of cages.

    Restricted Pets: The following pets are not authorized at Hunting Lodge: snakes, lizards, sugar gliders, flying squirrels, chinchillas, ferrets, reptiles, amphibians, rodents or venomous animals of any kind.

    Owner Requirements:
    1. Pets must be inoculated and properly licensed, and proof must be provided prior to application approval.
    2. All deposits and fees must be paid on or before the date the resident takes possession of the apartment.
    3. A separate pet addendum is to be completed and signed, and should be considered part of the contractual Lease Agreement.

    Pet Deposit and Fees:
    One time, non-refundable pet fee of $250 due at the time of registration
    $300 refundable pet deposit at the time of registration
    $30 monthly pet fee per cat and $40 monthly pet fee per dog

  • What types of housing are available?

    View our Floor plans page for more detailed information. All of our leases are joint and several liability and the lease signers are jointly and equally responsible for the rent prices. Typically, the total amount due for the apartment is split among all lease signers.

  • How do I secure an apartment for my child?

    The first step is to complete an application for both you and the student occupant. A $35 application-processing fee is required (per person). Once approved, we will contact you about next steps, including the signing of a lease agreement and paying a security deposit.

  • What does the monthly rent include?

    Hunting Lodge is an all-inclusive student apartment community! You only have one monthly bill which includes rent, utilities, Internet, cable, lawn care, snow removal and trash expenses.

  • What forms of payment does your community accept?

    We accept check, money order, or certified funds if paid on-site, in the office. You may also pay online or setup automatic withdrawal using the resident portal. Additional fees are determined based on the type of card used. ACH transactions made online are free of charge.

  • When is rent due?

    Rent is always due on the 1st of the month. Late fees in accordance with your lease agreement are assessed on the 11th of the month, regardless of weekends or holidays.

  • When is the security deposit returned?

    Security deposits are fully refundable, pending no damages in the apartment after the occupant has vacated at the end of the lease term. Final account statements and deposit refunds are mailed within 30 days of the end of the lease agreement. If the resident renews their lease, the security deposit will hold over for the extended lease term. The final account statement and full apartment deposit refund are mailed to 1 elected lease signer; the payment will have all lease signers listed as required by CT law.
